![]() ![]() Because I feel at this rate with how much I've printed I'm going to be needing new ink within the week already.Īnd on top of that you are printing on to regular copy paper. Hopefully this should be enough details and should narrow down what I need to do. And before I forget the paper I'm using is a Hammermill brand 11x17 28lb bright white paper so that I could print these comics in official size. The blue hue is just most prominent in the page I have as an example since most of it is just meant to be grey scale. But ever since I installed the CIS to my printer I've been messing around with some of the color management options to try and make things right. The blueish hue that is in my recent prints were not there with the default Epson cartridges. Managed to figure out how to hook it up and I was in business. Seeing how the ink didn't last long with my print jobs I went and got an InkXPro brand EX-series dye ink CIS set from Amazon. I heard some good things about the printer so I went ahead and bought it. The reason I got the Epson Artisan 1430 wide format printer is so that I could print my own homemade comic books. ![]() I guess I should give you guys a better idea with what I'm working with here. ![]() It'll also give you more accurate prints compared to what you see on your monitor if you profile your monitor regularly and not set the monitor brightness too high. InkOwl inks that I have used were pretty close to OEM color matching but I still would recommend creating your own custom profiles for you printer/ink/paper combo. Then you should be able to obtain neutral results. If that is the case you need a custom ICC profile for your inks and paper combo. It appears that you have a color management problem. Pretty strong difference, isn't there? I'm pretty sure the issue lies in the cyan colors of the CIS system but I have no idea how to fix that. ![]() Here's a picture from my comic, and yes it is a My Little Pony fan comic I worked on, with a comparison of how the page is suppose to look and how it ends up being printed: That's simply my problem and it is very prominent on pages that have more grey scale values to them. For some reason most of the pages I print out have this bluish hue to them. I'm hoping I've come to the right place to answer a particularly troubling issue I've been having with my new Epson Artisan 1430 and the continuous inking system I got for it because I wanted to print my own comics at home on 11x17 paper. ![]()
